Filmmaker. Director. Screenwriter
Pablo Fuentes Fernández was born in León in 1997.
Since he was a child, he was fascinated by the world of cinema and throughout his childhood, he carried out many tests with his small video camera. Before starting university, he studied the Bachillerato Artístico at the Escuela de Arte de León, where he finally decided that he wanted to dedicate himself professionally to filmmaking.
In 2016, he began his training in the University Degree in Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, at TAI School (Madrid); specializing in Film Directing. In 2017, he premiered his first short film, titled 'ZOC', as his final course work, with which he achieved recognition at international festivals.
In 2018, he presented his medium-length film entitled 'Disparo a un Caballo Oscuro'. A 40-minute piece, with which he obtained selections in national and international festivals; winning the first prize in a festival in Romania.
In 2020, he finished his university career and, together with his team, he made a short film entitled 'Raíces', which he presented as his final project. A cinematographic challenge, as it was a project filmed in La Rioja during the pandemic. It has been selected in numerous festivals, winning the award "La Aventura del Saber" of TVE in the CINEMAJOVE Festival in Valencia (At this moment, it is not publicly released, as it is in the process of distribution).
This 2021, he has finished his studies in the Master of Scriptwriting for Film and TV series, TAI School (Madrid), writing the script for his first feature film in the future.
Among his latest short films, the piece entitled 'MANOS LIBRES' stands out. A short film that premiered at the 69th edition of the SAN SEBASTIÁN Film Festival, a Thriller supported by the Audi brand, co-directed with Kike Maíllo and starring Hiba Abouk.
In addition to the short film 'AUNQUE NO TE NO CONOZCA', a project written and directed for the brand OUIGO with a LGTBIQ+ theme presented for Pride 2022.
